Miranda was undersecretary for Microeconomic Policy and Infrastructure Financing at the Economic Policy Secretariat (SPE) of the Ministry of Economy. Previously, he was the undersecretary of the Secretariat for Fiscal Monitoring, Energy and Lottery (Sefel) of the former Ministry of Finance, where he worked on the energy and infrastructure financing agendas.
According to the folder, the secretary studied economics at the University of Brasilia, PUC-Rio and Stanford. He is a career servant of the Central Bank and went to the Ministry of Finance in 2016.
The position was being held on an interim basis by Nelson Leitão, Secap's Subsidy for Subsidy Assessment of the Union. The previous secretary, Alexandre Manoel, left the post in March.
