The prestigious EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards bring together some of the world’s leading online gaming firms to celebrate operational excellence and commercial success in the sector.
Betsson Group was shortlisted for eight awards – meaning that the company was amongst the finalists in the following categories: Best use of Brand Ambassador, Innovation of the Year, Casino Marketing Campaign, CRM Campaign, Innovation in Casino, Mobile Marketing Campaign, Sportsbook Marketing Campaign, and Social Marketing Campaign.
Betsson Group has won the “Mobile Marketing Campaign of The Year Award” thanks to the mobile marketing campaign related to Betsafe Podcast. The awards were held virtually on the evening of Thursday, 30th July 2020.
Despite various challenges such as the saturation of the market, the restrictions in advertising, and a limited budget, Betsson managed to create something which stands out and is also getting coverage by major media in Estonia and has brought the company some fantastic KPIs.

To run a full media asset is hard to do and could fall on its face, the fact that they have trust and regular listeners plus athletes who want to be on it says it all. Overall this seems to be a creative solution to getting awareness and engagement within a small regulated market,” judges commented.
