Intralot Brasil is promoting on its social networks an unprecedented and inclusive action that it has been carrying out in partnership with Loteria Mineira, called “Absorbing Dignity”. The company allocated more than R$ 2.6 million (US$460k) directly to the creation of sanitary napkins and disposable diaper factories in prison units in the state of Minas Gerais.
When publicizing the action, Intralot states: “We are proud of this project and you are also part of this work: with every bet you make, part of the values are reverted to actions like this!”
The action is supported by resources from the Lottery of the State of Minas Gerias to promote dignity, health and well-being to the population. In addition, as determined by the law on criminal executions, prisonershave a penalty reduction proportional to the days worked. Thus, in addition to benefiting from this legal determination, they also learn a profession and can better reintegrate into society and the labor market when they finish their sentences.
