Younger brother, now in Spanish

New betting site AlegreBet is born aiming to expand FogoBet's participation in LatAm

West End, which already successfully operates the family's older brother FogoBet, has just released the new sports betting and gaming website AlegreBet. The new platform comes at a particularly important moment for the company in its objective to grow in the Latin American market. So much so that AlegreBet is available in the Hispanic-speaking community to expand the brand's presence on the continent.

Both FogoBet and AlegreBet operate with a license from Curaçao. Regarding the target countries, the company points out as objectives Chile, Peru, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Savador and also all those whose operating licenses allow for legal operation. AlegreBet's new website is available at www.alegrebet.com .

Brazil is also part of the West End's target audience, according to Stavros Karagkounis, the company's CEO. “Since the beginning of the project, the idea was to have two websites, but each would have a predominant language and audience. Fogobet is more focused on Portuguese-speaking countries and AlegreBet on Spanish-speaking nations,” he says.

The executive says that as the sites will be aimed at different audiences, he does not believe there will be direct competition, “especially because the two sites follow different models. But we also want to make it clear that players from Brazil can register at AlegreBet, as well as players from other countries can register at FogoBet. With this, we see that instead of creating an internal competition between our sites, we will give more options to players in Latin America as a whole,” he says.

The new site has been available since last week and Stavros says that all the experience acquired by FogoBet in Brazil will be replicated to other countries on the continent through AlegreBet. “I think the fundamental thing is market knowledge, getting involved, at least as little as possible, with the culture and characteristics of the players in the countries where we will operate. Therefore, we understand that meeting our customers' expectations and offering a unique gaming experience are our differentials,” he comments.

From the begining, one of the company's biggest concerns was adapting payment methods to the realities of each country. “We focus precisely on this, to be able to offer the best payment methods and serve all markets. We already have signed agreements with Pay4fun, Ecopays, Astropay, Payretails and Directa24. Being Payretails and Directa24 offering local payment options in several countries,” he says.

Like Brazil, where FogoBet has Rafinha as its brand ambassador, AlegreBet also intends to invest in local names to gain the trust of customers. “An ambassador needs to look like the site and that's what we're looking for with Rafinha and that's what we'll look for in other countries in Latin America to identify more and more with our local audience,” concludes Stavros.
