Seminole Hard Rock recognized as a ‘US Best Managed Company’

Seminole Hard Rock has become the first privately-owned gaming company to be recognized as a ‘US Best Managed Company’. The 2021 designees are US private firms that have demonstrated excellence in strategic planning and execution, a commitment to their people and fostering a dynamic, resilient culture, as well as strong financials while facing the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite major challenges and immense pressure, they continued to lead with purpose and the vision to make significant contributions to their industries, communities, workforces and the economy.

Sponsored by Deloitte Private and The Wall Street Journal, the program has seen hundreds of private companies competing for the designation via an independent process that evaluates four key criteria in their management skills and practices — strategy, execution, culture and financials. Eligible companies must have revenues of at least US$250 million.

On behalf of the 40,000+ team members at Seminole Hard Rock, we are humbled to be the first gaming company awarded the US Best Managed Company designation and to be recognized alongside so many outstanding privately-held businesses,” said Jim Allen, Chairman of Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming.

Our team members all contribute to the success of our organization and I want to thank them for their dedication and commitment to service excellence and financial results, which make this recognition possible,” Allen added.

The 2021 US Best Managed Companies program saw 49 companies honored from a field of over 500 applicants and 70 finalists.

Hard Rock International boasts 239 venues in 68 countries around the world, including owned, licensed or managed hotels, casinos, Rock Shops, live venues and cafés. It also continues to maintain an interest in developing an integrated resort in Japan where it had set up base in Hokkaido.
