Deputy Bacelar to defend gaming legalization once again in Brazil at Federal Chamber

An audience to discuss tourism in post-pandemic regional development is taking place today, Monday 17th, at 2 pm, at Brazil’s Federal Chamber. The hearing was suggested by the committee chairman, Deputy Bacelar (Pode-BA). In a conversation with GMB, he said that “I have reiterated the need to legalize the gaming sector” and confirmed that he will “put the issue on the table again.”

An advocate of gaming activity, including in a recent exclusive interview with GMB One-On-One, Bacelar intends to put the issue back on the table, as well as "opening up a more fluid channel of communication with the national tourism productive sector. I understand that it is a of the prerogatives of this commission," said the deputy.

"This exchange of information is essential for the better improvement of the internal work of this commission, as well as to contribute to the analysis of matters that are being processed here."

As he told GMB on Friday afternoon, "legalized gambling and casinos could be a tool to boost tourism in the post-pandemic."
