Brazilian idol Zé Roberto becomes new ambassador of NetBet

Zé Roberto, one of the greatest Brazilian football idols, ex- National Team and Palmeiras among many other clubs, signed a partnership with NetBet becoming ambassador of the pioneer sports betting house in the country. The company launched along with ZR11, as he is known, the #JogaJunto campaign that includes a video available on social networks where the player invites users to “play together” with him on the platform.

NetBet is a pioneer in football in Brazil, closing first with Fortaleza in 2018, shortly after the Federal Government sanctioned MP 846, related to fixed-odds betting in the country. Shortly after that, several sponsorships followed, such as the BJJ Stars, Liga Universitária de São Paulo tournaments, clubs Vasco, Caucaia and Red Bull Bragantino. The firm already had UFC fighter Júnior Cigano as ambassador.

A “titan” in football

Zé Roberto has played in giant clubs such as Portuguesa, Real Madrid, Flamengo, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, Santos, Hamburg, Al-Gharafa, Grêmio and Palmeiras.

Having a long-lasting career and many victories, the midfielder was practically guaranteed presence in the Brazilian team during his time as player, being a starter in the 2006 World Cup in Germany and scoring a goal in the victory of Brazil against Ghana, for example.

 

 

Although he has a great identification with Palmeiras for being the team where he ended his career, he also had a great period in the German football, with 5 seasons played in Bayern Munich and 4 Bayern Leverkusen.

Zé Roberto has a German passport and is the second Brazilian player with the most games in the Bundesliga. He states that it was in Germany where he became a complete athlete: "It was there that I understood that my body was my work tool and that I needed to take very good care of it to achieve longevity, as I did later."

In Brazil, winning the Brazilian Championship and the Brazil Cup with Palmeiras were just some of his victories.
