Copag proposes card games as an incentive for socialization

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation has caused the distance between people and, thinking about it, largest card production company in Brazil Copag is promoting a campaign so that people can socialize through card games between friends to achieve positive impacts, such as improving mental health, confidence and self-esteem.

To this end, Copag and its social networks launched an incentive campaign for companies to invest and promotional actions offering games as gifts in order to promote socialization among families and friends.

In the campaign, Copag recalls that “the convenience, ease and convenience of working, obtaining products and chatting with friends and strangers over the internet, without having to leave the house, makes it increasingly dependent on the virtual world.”

The company says that “humans are social beings. We crave for connection and belonging. The health benefits of socialization can improve our lives in many ways. Situations that promote the exchange of contacts and experiences, such as a simple moment playing cards with friends and loved ones, cause several positive impacts.”

Among these impacts, Copag mentions mental health, since the practice of card or board games is associated with human development, in an educational and therapeutic way. “Through games, we introduce or evolve in the ability to deal with rules, develop plans and strategies, working on perception and logical reasoning, as well as maturing to deal with achievements and frustrations, with winning or losing,” explains clinical psychoanalyst and director of Analizzare - Human Development Center, Rosiane Claudia da Silva, on the Copag website. In addition, playing helps the individual to deal with depression, anxiety, stress and even the tiredness and fatigue of everyday life.

Another positive impact is the fight to reduce self-esteem and gain confidence. People who report feeling lonely usually have low confidence and self-esteem. “Socialization fights this, because being in the presence of those we like causes a feeling of belonging and appreciation, which increases security and self-esteem,” defends Copag.
