Pixbet celebrates partnership at Favela Kombat 39: “In addition to business, this is inclusion"

Last Sunday (9), Ita Music, in Itaboraí (RJ), hosted Favela Kombat 39. The event, known for giving visibility to many hidden talents within the communities of Rio de Janeiro, had the support of Pixbet. According to Júnior Santos, the bookmaker's CEO, one of the pillars of the campaign is to support initiatives that provide young people with an opportunity to grow as athletes and citizens.

In the main event, Lohanna Correia and Lorrany Santos – two promising women's MMA – fought for the bantamweight belt. In the co-main event, Uemerson King and Jefferson Mão de Pedra faced off against former champions.

According to Júnior Santos, CEO of Pixbet, one of the pillars of the campaign is to support initiatives that provide young people with an opportunity to grow as athletes and citizens. Based on this goal, Júnior arrived at Favela Kombat and celebrates the success of the partnership.

“We understand that the partnership with Favela Kombat is on a level far beyond the commercial, we are talking about inclusion. Martial arts have become popular in Brazil over the years and, driven by big names like Anderson Silva, José Aldo and many others, they currently have a captive place in the public's preference. For Pixbet, it is an excellent means of publicizing and popularizing the brand,” said the CEO.

“Brazil should have more competitions of this level. It is different from football, for example, which has a network dedicated to attracting talent. I understand that Favela Kombat today presents itself as the most important gateway for athletes from underserved communities who wish to pursue a career in MMA,” highlighted Santos.

Finally, Júnior Santos again mentioned the transformative and inclusive power of sport, and he bets that by supporting Favela Kombat he will be able to give even more opportunities to young athletes.

“Sports practice as a whole has already proven to be an invaluable social tool . Martial arts are responsible for creating dreams that take our young people away from the streets and give them the ambition for a better life,” concluded the Pixbet leader.
