CAF adds Alexandre Brito to its board of directors

CAF has just announced Alexandre Brito as a new member of the board of directors of the Brazilian facial biometrics and identification startup. Graduated in economics from UFRJ, Brito has more than 20 years of experience in the global and technological industry. He was Mastercard's M&A and Market Development Director for South America and CEO and Advisor to Magalu.

Brazilian facial biometrics and identification startup CAF has just announced the incorporation of Alexandre Brito, former CEO of the fintech operation of retailer Magalu, into its board of directors. Brito was at Magalu between 2017 and 2021 and is also on the boards of edtech Blue and Hyperlocal, a platform for small businesses.

The executive spent more than 10 years at Mastercard, where he started as director of finance and administration in Brazil and went through positions such as vice president of strategy, operations, M&A and mobile for southern Latin America, head of acceptance, acquisition and M&A development for the south of the region and head of market development for the south of LatAm.

Brito also has a stint at GE and GE Capital as part of the corporate audit team, and FP&A manager and ombudsman.

At CAF, Brito sits on the board along with Andrew Prozes (ex-LexisNexis) and Jim Peck (CEO of NielsenIQ), being responsible for promoting disruptive tools and designating goals for new evolutions.

“The way the digital environment has evolved in recent years challenges even the most visionary consultants. CAF empowers its clients to optimize and protect digital identities at multiple levels, whatever the size of the company. It is very fascinating to be part of a revolution of this magnitude," says Brito about his incorporation into fintech.

"We are honored to welcome Alexandre Brito to our board of directors. His deep knowledge of the industry and his proven track record of leading and developing large companies around the world will be invaluable as we seek to expand CAF's scale in Brazil and, especially, worldwide," says Darryl Green, president and CEO of CAF.
