Roberto Brasil Fernandes receives "Latin American Excellence in Law Awards 2022"

The renowned lawyer and lottery expert Roberto Brasil Fernandes received on Thursday (24) this week, in Panama City, the 'Latin American Excellence in Law Awards 2022' of LAQI, organization that promotes and supports the competitiveness of Latin American companies and organizations. The ceremony took place during the 16th edition of the Quality Festival.

The Latin American Quality Institute (LAQI) is a non-governmental organization that fosters and supports the competitiveness of Latin American companies and organizations, promoting the culture of Total Responsibility through methodologies that involve total quality, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, fair trade and educational quality.

The LAQI Quality Festival 2022 event reinforces the entity's commitment and mission in fostering the best corporate practices in civil and government organizations in Latin America.

Roberto Brasil Fernandes was recognized as one of the main lawyers in Latin America for his work in the area of law as a whole and for his dedication to the cause of lotteries, the most relevant theme in the professional activity of the lawyer.

In highlighting the award, the organizers said: "Our compliments to the lawyer and his team for the international recognition, earned by the evident quality in the services provided, with ethics and social commitment."

Roberto Brasil Fernandes is one of the leading specialists in the field of lotteries throughout Latin America. In Brazil, it has developed a hard work in defense of the growth of the sector. In addition to signing articles in the most important world publications on the theme of gaming rights (including GMB) and speaker in the main congresses, he is the author of the book "Law of Lotteries in Brazil: concepts and legal aspects".

He was the author of the action in the Supreme Court that culminated in the end of the monopoly of the Union in the exploitation of lotteries in Brazil, opening the possibility that all states can operate lottery modalities in their areas of operation.
