With innovative sponsorship project, UPSPORTS.BET is new partner of Botafogo SP

Botafogo has a new sponsor that arrives to break paradigms. This is UPSPORTS.BET, an entertainment platform that offers sports betting. The concept of the innovative sponsorship project, developed in partnership with LiveSports, goes far beyond the brand's exposure on the club's jersey, field plates and back drops. Most of the resources will be invested in the production of quality audiovisual digital content, which will be made available on ‘Tricolor's’ digital platforms.

“It is a new concept of sponsorship, which will add a lot of relevant content to entertain fans and the media itself. This partnership also shows the strength and recognition of the brand of this new moment that Botafogo is experiencing,” says Adalberto Baptista, chairman of the Board of Directors of Botafogo Futebol SA.

For Felipe Avelino Dias, CEO of UPSPORTS.BET, the partnership with Botafogo aims to add value for both sides. “UPSPORTS.BET will work with content generation for Botafogo and will provide the best sports betting service to Pantera fans,” highlights Dias.

The debut of this new concept of sponsorship in Brazilian football was on Saturday (19), when Botafogo faced Corinthians, at Estádio Santa Cruz, in Ribeirão Preto, for the eighth round of the Paulista Championship. Coincidentally, the match took place just when Sócrates, who died in 2011 and was an idol of Botafogo and Corinthians fans, would have turned 68.

“Content, great stories and information are the soul of every project. LiveSports took this innovative sponsorship concept to UPSPORTS.BET, which also has this vision of the relevance of content to bring and entertain fans. Together, we presented this idea to Botafogo, which also believes in this concept to leverage its digital platforms, bring more engagement and, consequently, more sponsors to the club,” explains João Palomino, CEO of LiveSports, the company that conducted the negotiation and will work in partnership with the ‘Pantera’ in the development and production of the content.

UPSPORTS.BET is an entertainment platform that offers sports betting to its customers, in six months it had an expressive growth with more than 200,000 customers within the platform. Botafogo is the first football club sponsored by the brand and the contract is valid until the end of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C.

LiveSports is a live streaming service for sporting events, corporate meetings and concerts. Responsible for the entire streaming production chain, from capturing at the event's location, going through ticketing and data security, to delivery to sports fans in its own app. The company was created in September 2020 by João Palomino, former VP of Content and Production at ESPN, and Nilson Fujisawa, CEO of Lineup, one of the main providers of equipment and solutions in the television market.

Founded in Vila Tibério, a neighborhood in Ribeirão Preto (SP), Botafogo Futebol Clube is one of the most traditional teams in the interior of São Paulo. Since 2018, it has become a club-company, being managed by Trex Holding owned by Adalberto Baptista. The club is famously known for being a “granary of stars”, having revealed more than 15 athletes who played for the Brazilian team, including Baldocchi and Raí, world champions, in addition to ace Socrates.

Botafogo has the Santa Cruz stadium, one of the largest in the state, which has a capacity for around 30,000 people. On site, there is the Eurobike Arena, which has a capacity for about 15 thousand people, and is a fully modernized space with new seats, the construction of two bars (Seo Tibério Futebol Bar and the Hard Rock Cafe), a VIP lounge ( Johnnie Walker), staterooms and even corporate suites.
