In addition to an unprecedented experience on a 'surprise stage' for participants, the champions stamp their passports to the international stage in Copenhagen. Entries are open and can be done at www.redbull.com/flick.
Developed exclusively for Red Bull Flick, the event will bring five maps - also known as 'Arenas' - to Brazilian fans. In pairs, players will compete in fast-paced gameplay, lasting around ten minutes. The objective is to control capture points for a certain period of time, with the capture point changing every 30 seconds. There will be a ticket countdown system to track the score and when a team runs out of tickets it loses the game.
“It's an honor for me, because it allows me to be part of another great event for our CS community and gives the opportunity for new talents to be revealed,” says Gaules.
The four best pairs of the event will compete in the national final in São Paulo, on a 'surprise stage', with an additional and unprecedented physical challenge for competitors. On his Twitch profile, Gaules will convey all the emotions to the tribe. The great champions guarantee a place in the playoffs of the world stage, in Denmark and, if they advance, they will have the opportunity to meet, socialize and face the best CS:GO pro-players in the world, such as KScerato and Drop, already confirmed as a duo.
“The game mode, in addition to being totally different from what we find in everyday life, is very funny. Sometimes, out of nowhere, you end up losing to someone flying a shotgun,” comments KScerato, who participated in the 2021 edition.
Dispute system
In Red Bull Flick, the competition's theme begins on the futuristic planet BU-11, with each victory bringing the duos closer to their final destination. In this second Brazilian edition, the event will have only 1,024 seats. Qualifiers will take place on June 25th and 26th and July 2nd and 3rd. From the first to the fourth round, the matches are MD1 (Best of 1 Game). That is, one loses, the duo is out! In the fifth and sixth rounds, it will be MD3. The top four duos in each qualifier advance to the playoffs.
On July 9th, the 16 best teams will face each other for the grand final. The decision, which will take place in early August, will bring together the four best duos in person. The semis will be MD3, while the game that will define the champions will be MD5. The winning duo, in addition to experiencing special experiences throughout the competition, will also win the national trophy of the tournament and stamp their passport to Denmark. Red Bull Flick has partnerships with Agon by AOC and Aorus.
