Brazilian GreenRun is nominated as “Rising Star in Sports Betting” by the SBC Awards

Developed by friends Nathan Dionne, Marcos Araújo and Raphael Araújo, the sports betting platform GreenRun arrived in Brazil to educate its members about the world of sports wagering. Although the Brazilian company has been on the air for just over a month, the SBC Awards have already highlighted its potential and nominated it in the “Rising Star in Sports Betting” category. The awards ceremony will take place on the last day of the SBC Summit Barcelona, on the 22nd of September.

GreenRun's mission is to delight and inspire punters across Latin America by consistently delivering premium experiences, unparalleled customer service and security. All the while maintaining an authentic brand.

The company's premise is to offer an easy and direct language from those who have a history of having fun with bidding. Its proposal is to promote entertainment, but, above all, to educate its members about the world of sports betting, fostering a market that, today, moves up to R$ 8 billion (US$ 1.5b) annually in the country.

“Congratulations to the entire GreenRun team for being nominated as a ‘Rising Star in Sports Betting’ by the SBC Awards. Huge achievement, given that we've been on the air for just over a month,” expressed the company's founders on their official social networks.

The SBC Awards recognize the achievements of operators, affiliates and vendors across all major disciplines, including payments, marketing, platform and data providers. Winners in all 45 categories will be selected by independent juries of industry leaders.

This year's SBC Awards will take place on the last day of the SBC Summit Barcelona, on the 22nd of September, at Palau Nacional, Barcelona.

After two years of development, the online sports bidding platform GreenRun arrived in Brazil. The debut in the country was supported by a US$4.2 million seed led by Vice Ventura. The application proposes to democratize the betting universe in Latin America, offering an easy and intuitive gaming experience to football, basketball and American football fans.

Developed by friends Nathan Dionne, Marcos Araújo and Raphael Araújo, GreenRun was born as an American holding company and follows the success of another company, founded in 2017. This is Esportudo, a media platform with personalized sports news based on more than 250 sources from the internet. Under the same umbrella, both companies have raised more than US$7 million.

According to co-founder Marcos Araújo, GreenRun was created to make betting easier for the Brazilian and Latino public – a bid can be completed in just 2 minutes via the platform. “Most of the players in this sector are European and outsource the backend. Our platform, on the other hand, was created from scratch with the differential of being a transparent brand, which speaks the same language as the users,” he explained.

GreenRun's goal is to be the largest sportstech in Latin America, encompassing media, gaming and betting. In Brazil, the main focus of the company's strategy, the expectation is to reach monthly revenue of US$ 10 million by January 2023. In conversations with Latin American investors, the company should soon raise a new fund to expand the team. Mexico, Peru, Chile and Ecuador are the next markets in the crosshairs.

The platform makes a diagnosis of the main guesses for each game and helps the user in the best choice according to their preferences. Members also have 24-hour support to understand the betting universe and the current scenario of teams and each match.
