Bringing punters, tipsters, influencers and sports betting operators together for a debate with content was the objective of Danilo Pereira, professional gambler and creator of Bet Masters Sportsbet.io, for recente second edition of the event. As he told the GMB, this happened surprisingly.
GMB – Bet Masters Sportsbet.io brought the community together to discuss sports betting in Brazil from a bettor's point of view. How do you feel about the meeting?
Danilo Pereira – Bet Masters is the junction of my story as a bettor with the boom that has been happening in this industry. The event allowed the bettor to meet the influencer he sees every day on YouTube and even managed to get closer to operators, such as Sportsbet.io, which sponsored the meeting. In addition, the gamblers present were able to do a lot of networking, close partnerships and gain technical content that will make a difference in their careers. It is the second year of the Bet Masters and I have no doubt that for the next year we will have to triple the capacity of the event.
You can already tell that it was an unparalleled success!
Unequaled. We put the tickets on sale and in three weeks 400 were sold. We had people trying to buy tickets on the day, but they couldn't get in. Many people in the industry ended up being left out due to the number of visitors. We already have big plans for the event next year, including in other places in Brazil.
We have two categories of bettors. The one who is gambling recreationally and the professional one. Was the event importante for these two figures in this chain?
It was important. I respect both the entertainment gambler and the one who is here to make money in the long run. The event brought different panels aimed at that, the person who wants to have fun and cheer as well as the person who wants to live off of it and do what Danilo once did. 'I want to become an influencer, be an affiliate and have a closer bond with payment companies.’ The event brought this junction and that was my taget.
Were you able to show interested parties the current stage of sports betting regulation and the importance of their support for this cause?
I do not have any doubt. I was worried about assembling a panel that would bring this. We have to deliver this information to our audience, as they are also part of this game. To have a win-win partnership, where the government, operators and bettors win, everyone has to speak the same language. Unfortunately, the gambler doesn't care so much about it and then you can't complain up front. So I care a lot about everything I've created in betting and I want to get that message across to bettors. And we managed to do that, without a doubt.
