Vinicius Poit, Novo's candidate for governor of Sao Paulo, was the fourth interviewee to participate in a meeting promoted by the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo and the first to openly defend the legalization of casinos in Brazil.
The candidate for governor by Novo party spoke about job creation and defended the legalization of gambling in Brazil, in casinos.
“It's not the casino or gambling that will bring up problems that already exist (prostitution, drugs...). Also, it's not the casino, but the convention center, the hotel, everything around it, that creates jobs,” he said.
The candidate also defended the reduction of taxes on the sale of weapons and promised, if elected, to be the governor who will proportionally reduce the most taxes in Sao Paulo.
“I will always articulate in favor of defending the freedom of the individual, especially in more isolated regions,” said Poit during a conversation held by Estadão in partnership with Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado (FAAP).
Poit defends liberal proposals and says he is in favor of gun ownership. According to him, his priority is to reduce taxes on “essential items such as transport and food,” but he supports that other products have reduced taxation as well.
