The contract was renewed at the same value as the previous one. What was understood by CBF as good news, after all during the Covid-19 pandemic there were stoppages of championships, cancellation of friendlies and other postponements that compromised deliveries and requirements provided for in the contract - without suspension or reduction in payments.
“The renewal of sponsorship gives us confidence that we are on the right path to provide more transparency and modernization to Brazilian football,” said CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues in a statement.
“The renewal of the contract with the Brazilian Football Teams and the extension to eSoorts demonstrate how the great social and technological changes are also an opportunity to foster the development of the sport that is the passion of Brazilians,” says Eduardo Trancanella, director of Itaú Unibanco marketing.
The contract provides for sponsorship of the Brazilian men's and women's teams of all categories (from youth to professional), and also of the e-Brasileirão – which now has the bank as its biggest supporter. Itaú's strategy is to try to get closer to the young public through sponsorship contracts with Brazilian teams and electronic sports.
