New international expansion project leader

Emma Lindley: “CAF is the market leader in Brazil and it is an honor to join the company”

CAF, a Brazilian facial biometrics and identification startup, announced British Emma Lindley as the leader of the brand's international expansion project. Lindley was vice president of identity and risk for Europe at Visa, and spent six years at GBG, an IT consulting and services company specializing in digital identity.

In addition, she co-founded Innovate Identity, an independent consultancy focused on digital security, and Confyrm, a digital identity service and anti-fraud solutions sold in 2018 to the American fund Capital One.

A cybersecurity graduate from Harvard and an MBA from Manchester Business School, Lindley was among the top leaders in the Innovate Finance Powerlist, Know Identity Top 100 Leaders and Women in Tech Awards, among other technology awards.

An exotic twist to Lindley's biography is that she was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire earlier this year by Queen Elizabeth II for her role in promoting diversity and inclusion in the digital identity industry.

“CAF is the market leader in Brazil and it is an honor to join the company at such a fundamental stage of its growth curve, enabling it to expand into new markets and verticals,” comments Lindley.

Along with Lindley, Brian Daly and Paul McManus arrive at CAF to work in product development, business and sales, respectively as VP of Product Strategy and Senior VP of Business Development.

Both participated in the recent sale of compliance and anti-fraud startup 4Stop to Jumio, one of the leading digital identity platforms in the United States.

Since 2019 on the market, CAF has already raised more than R$ 80 million (us$ 15.25m) in investments this year and intends to hire around 100 professionals globally.

To date, the company has avoided more than R$877 million (US$ 167m) in fraud, in addition to having carried out more than 26 million transactions.

CAF has offices spread across Brazil, England, Canada and the United States. Its portfolio includes clients such as Magalu, Cora, Asaas, Mutual and N26.
