Integration with platform is the final stage

Operation of sports betting by Lottopar in Paraná is set to begin in October

Authorized sports betting companies in the Brazilian state of Paraná have started the integration stage with Lottopar's management and payment platform. The organization aims to have the operation up and running in October, ensuring revenue for public funds to be used for social purposes.

With innovative and pioneering processes in Brazil, such as the hiring of an integrated management and payment platform, Lottopar is approaching the start operations later this month. After completing the accreditation, document analysis, approval stages, payment of the fixed grant, and signing the contract authorizing operations in the state, a new stage begins: integrating lottery operators with Lottopar's management and payment platform.

This integration is mandatory for companies to operate in the state and offer new legal and regulated options in sports betting to the people of Paraná. Through this action, the integrity of the operators' systems can be verified by conducting numerous tests and certificate validation to ensure the security of the lottery operation.

This new phase involves connecting the systems of each of the companies with Lottopar's management and payment platform. In practice, operators will integrate with the payment method via an Application Programming Interface (API), which is a programming interface that, at the management level, allows the transmission of XML files containing data specified by Lottopar to an FTP server, ensuring control over financial and betting operations.

It's worth noting that Lottopar has the autonomy to define certain rules for this platform, such as the available payment methods for bettors, for example, and may also require the player's location at the time of the bet to be included in the data report, ensuring compliance with required territoriality, among other information that will aid in monitoring this sector, ensuring safety for bettors, and promoting responsible and secure gambling.

Security

According to Daniel Romanowski, the president of Lottopar, the platform enables the supervision of lottery activities and provides more security for bettors. "Monitoring sports betting helps deter fraud and allows us to work in collaboration with authorities to share information about suspicious activities, making it easier to be accountable to regulatory bodies, always following what the General Data Protection Law (LGPD) dictates, to provide a secure environment for everyone," emphasized Romanowski.

The hiring of the platform is a revenue-sharing contract, and the public administration does not make payments for contractual execution. In other words, the Government of Paraná does not invest public funds in this system; on the contrary, it receives 18% of the gross revenue from the contracted company.

Authorized

Paraná already has two authorized fixed-odds betting companies in the state, namely BETPR and WLC Paraná. The operation will only commence once the integration stage with Lottopar's management and payment platform is completed, which is scheduled to take place throughout October. Once this stage is completed, Lottopar will widely publicize and also provide a link on the agency's website for bettors to identify the authorized and legalized companies operating throughout the territory of Paraná.
