Finance confirms 134 companies expressed interest in operating betting in Brazil, will have priority

As Games Magazine Brasil exclusively reported, the Ministry of Finance confirms that 134 companies presented the official prior expression of interest within the 30 days of the period set by Normative Ordinance MF nº 1330/2023. Finance also informed that these companies will have priority for authorization requests, as soon as the deadline for receiving applications and grant payments opens.

Last October 27, the Ministry of Finance published Normative Ordinance MF nº 1330/2023 in which it granted a period of 30 days for companies interested in requesting authorization for fixed-odd betting in the national territory to present a prior expression of interest, not binding, accompanied by documents.

During this period, 134 companies presented a prior expression of interest. In the view of Francisco Manssur, special advisor to the Executive Secretariat, this significant number of requests "represents the result of constant dialogue between the Ministry of Finance and all segments of this market, in the construction of safe and reliable regulation for everyone involved.”

Companies that presented a prior expression of interest will have priority for authorization requests, as soon as the deadline for receiving applications and grant payments opens.

Soon, they will be communicated to begin data sending tests in the bet management system in the final phase of development by the Federal Data Processing Service (Serpro).
