‘Bets’ more than double sponsorships on Brasileirão jerseys in 2024

The clubs in the Série A of the Brasileirão will receive R$550.7 million (US$91m) from ‘Bets’ – as operators called in Brazil - this year alone in master sponsorships. This is more than double the amount invested in 2023 (R$209m/US$35m) to have their brands printed on the players' uniforms, as shown in the balance sheets and official announcements made by the teams when closing the financing agreements.

Flamengo has the largest contract (R$105 million/US$17.3m), followed by Corinthians (R$102 million/US$16.8m). The two signed, respectively, with Pixbet and Esportes da Sorte.

Next comes Vasco (R$70 million/US$11.5m), whose advertiser is Betfair, São Paulo (R$52 million/US$8.6m) and Fluminense (R$42 million/US$ 6.9m), both signed with Superbet, in addition to Cruzeiro, which displays the Betfair logo (R$40 million/US$6.6m).

In total, 15 Série A teams have bookmakers as their main sponsors. Palmeiras has a R$100 million (US$16.5m) deal with Sportingbet, but this amount is scheduled for 2025.

Botafogo, the Libertadores and Brasileirão champions, will feature Parimatch on their shirts this year for R$27.5 million (US$ 4.5m) and are in the negotiation phase with another bookmaker since their contract with Parimatch ends at the end of the year.
