Regis Dudena brings an update on the regulated Brazilian iGaming market to ICE Barcelona

ICE Barcelona, taking place next January 20 -22 at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, will have a strong Brazilian presence in terms of the regulation of the country's iGaming sector. As Clarion's LatAm director Liliana Costa had already told GMB, Latin America, and especially Brazil, will be the focus of attention. The organizers confirmed the presence of Regis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Betting, who will bring the latest updates on the start of the regulated market.

He will participate in several panels of the World Gaming Week in Barcelona, ??presenting interested players from Brazil with the most in-depth insights on the start of the regulated operation of sports betting and online gaming.

During the three days, he will share his experiences with regulation and his expectations for the first year of the sector, which officially starts on January 1, 2025.

On the first day, at 4:45 p.m., he will participate in the session “Hidden Burdens: Optimising Taxation for Sustainable Returns” and then in a networking meeting at the World Gaming Forum.

Among the topics that Dudena will address are the start of regulated operations, responsible gaming, advertising and the fight against match-fixing and money laundering.

On the 21st, he will take part in a roundtable discussion on Brazil, with players already active in the market and those interested in reaching what promises to be one of the largest iGaming jurisdictions on the planet. The roundtable will begin at 3 p.m.

ICE Barcelona is expected to bring together more than 55,000 visitors at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, with the expectation of receiving more than 200 gaming regulators, 800 exhibitors and 14,000 operators from around 150 countries.

According to Liliana Costa, LatAm director at Clarion Gaming, “ICE Barcelona will be Brazil’s stage with a program focused on this new regulated market. There will be three days of discussions on technologies, opportunities and networking between players, operators, regulators and others interested in this opportunity that is opening up.”

According to her, Brazil has been at the forefront of ICE for a few years. “Now, it will have an even more decisive presence given the start of regulated iGaming operations. In all the conversations I have, the question always is how to learn more about the Brazilian market and find the ideal partner and how ICE can help. We created a program focused on Brazil to support this demand,” says the executive.
