Celebrating 25 years of continuity

GAT Expo Cartagena consolidated its leadership position

The 2024 edition of Gaming & Technology Expo will be remembered for celebrating 25 years of existence and continuous holding of the Colombian fair, with important developments in its organization and scope, consolidating its leadership position among gambling events in Latin America.

After the end of the exhibition as the main component on April 11th, the total satisfaction of visitors and the exhibitors' marketing and sales team was evident, who continuously attended their stands full of people interested in all the new features on display, both in equipment for land-based casinos and the offer rich in creativity and technological stimuli of online games.

Regarding the academic agenda and networking events, José Aníbal Aguirre said: "I highlight with special satisfaction the content and intellectual quality that we were able to offer in the conferences and panels on April 9th. It was extraordinary to capture the attention of those present and the interest in each of the topics announced. A great highlight was the careful Coljuegos conference, which presented in a detailed and punctual way the situation of this important sector of the economy and each of the verticals that make up it in our country, as well as the clear interest in improving processes and controlling illegality."

The entity's president, Marco Emilio Hincapié, suggested the creation of a Latin American commission of regulators to unify regulatory criteria, an idea that received a lot of support. Hence the initiative to periodically hold a summit of Latin American associations with the aim of providing the vision of operators in each of our countries on the state of the sector in their nation."

Aguirre continues: "For me, the care taken in preparing the presentations by the speakers and debaters was remarkable, as they took their role very seriously", he said. "To take into account and value the advances, the participation of women with leading businesswomen from Peru, Mexico and Colombia in the panel of the ASFEG Women's Games Association was very important, as next year we invite to evaluate the progress of the regional gaming industry in the search for gender equality. Artificial intelligence was obviously a hot topic, and we had the opportunity to take in AI analysis from different angles."

The success of transactional networks in Colombia was also highlighted with the entry of the Gelsa and Paga Todo group, officially announcing their expansion and influence in some South American markets, in addition to their official entry into Paraguay through Aposta.la.

The artists were able to mix with the audience and share different rhythms and musical genres. The idea is to continue with this concept in the next editions of GAT Cartagena, adding new cultural expressions to this networking event.

GAT is an event different from others, characterized by joy and a friendly atmosphere that inspires participants to always want to come back; Furthermore, the sales results are extraordinary,” said Galy Olazo, Sales Manager for Latin America at Interblock.
