Lottopar celebrates two years, moves towards a safer and more responsible lottery market

Starting its activities in April 2022, in just two years Lottopar has consolidated itself as a national reference in Brazil’s lottery market, promoting actions to regulate the sports betting in an agile manner, offering safe entertainment. In addition, it is also granting traditional modalities authorized by law, accrediting internationally renowned testing and certification laboratories and promoting educational actions on Safe Gaming and Responsible Gaming.

Since Lottopar's first structuring actions, there have been many achievements, such as public hearings, where the population helped to build the lottery model in Paraná and the hiring of a pioneering management and payment platform in Brazil, which promotes more transparency and security in State lottery operations.

This was followed by the launch, in November 2023, of sports betting operations, also including educational actions such as the website and the booklet on responsible and safe gaming, as well as the 1st Workshop also on the topic, which brought together athletes, confederations and sports federations.

Among the most recent actions carried out by Lottopar, the company highlights the first concession of a lottery modality on B3. The historic gavel ceremony marked the beginning of the concession of the instant lottery modality in Paraná.

Paraná is also the only state with four accredited testing and certification laboratories, which are Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), BMM Testlabs, Gaming Associates and eCOGRA, thus bringing much more credibility and security to lottery operations in the State.

In relation to other lottery modalities, the Notice is at a very advanced stage and three companies have already been approved by Lottopar's special accreditation committee in conjunction with B3.

In the anniversary month of Loterias do Paraná, Lottopar’s president, Daniel Romanowski, and the president of the Instituto Provincial de Lotería y Casinos de Buenos Aires (IPLYC), Gonzalo Raico Atanasoff, signed a protocol of intentions in La Plata, capital of the Province of Buenos Aires, at no financial cost to the State but which will bring broad benefits. These include the exchange of knowledge and information, the development of actions aimed at identifying the best practices in this segment, as well as improving the structuring and management of lottery games in general.

Lottopar’s president highlights that all these results are the result of teamwork and following Governor Ratinho Junior's determination to make Lottopar a model for Brazil. “I received the mission from the governor to structure Lottopar and supervise lottery activities, bringing a new safe and responsible entertainment option and, above all, with social return for the population. We are reaching these milestones due to the synergy and joint work of the entire Lottopar team,” said Daniel Romanowski.

“We celebrate this date, but to get here we went through many stages of work, always guided by ethics, transparency, corporate governance and aiming for a benchmark lottery market for Brazil,” said operations director, Fabio Veiga.

“I mainly want to highlight the technical capacity of Lottopar’s servers, as it was thanks to everyone’s work that we built a strengthened and consolidated lottery environment. It fills us with pride to know that with these actions we are contributing to an even more socially developed Paraná,” stated the chief of staff, Stefanny Fernandes.
