Angelo Alberoni is the new technical director of the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming

The Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR) announced Angelo Alberoni as its technical director this Tuesday (21). The executive will assume leadership of the entity's technical agenda, which today prioritizes and monitors the publication of ordinances detailing the requirements and rites foreseen for the sports betting and online gambling market.

With more than 15 years of experience in the betting sector, Alberoni is country manager for Novibet in Brazil, and has worked for important companies in the sector, such as Betsson Group, Betcris and Betmotion. His work within the IBJR will help in the search for strengthening the sector, especially after its recent regulation.

A specialist in management and marketing, the executive takes on the role with the mission of creating new opportunities to discuss safe, responsible and legal gambling in the country.

“Taking on the role of technical director at IBJR is an exciting challenge in my career. The institute has a strong role in discussions about how the sector can move forward, and I will work to bring new angles to this conversation,” said Angelo Alberoni.

The Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR) was created with the aim of fostering the debate on the regulation of this segment in Brazil, contributing information to defend the creation of clear rules and guidelines so that sports betting companies can operate legally, protecting the interests of players and civil society.

There are 11 international sports betting operator members (bet365, Flutter, Entain, Betsson Group, Betway Group, Yolo Group, Netbet Group, KTO Group, Novibet, LeoVegas and Kaizen Gaming), a fantasy games company (Rei do Pitaco), three payment solutions providers (Pay4Fun, Grupo OKTO and OneKey Payments), a media group (Better Collective), the agency Clever Advertising, the digital and sports marketing company Volta Pra Marcar and the anti-fraud solutions company GeoComply.
