SBC Summit North America presents exclusive panel on Brazilian market boom

Brazil has increasingly attracted the attention of global iGaming players. The SBC, which held its first local event in Rio de Janeiro, has scheduled the panel “Boom in Brazil: sports betting in the Americas' second biggest market” for the SBC Summit North America, this week in New Jersey. This demonstrates the company's interest in the Brazilian market, one of the fastest growing currently. Entain, Sportradar, RSI and other important companies will be part of it.

The SBC Summit North America takes place this week (7th to 9th), bringing together more than 5,000 delegates for a calendar full of content about the current situation in the iGaming sector on the North American continent.

The venue for the event will be the Meadowlands Exposition Center, in New Jersey, which will welcome industry professionals to accompany 300 speakers who will bring their insights into the sports betting and online gaming sector. The exhibition will bring together 75 global and regional brands that operate in iGaming.

Brazil, due to its prominent position on the global stage, has been attracting the attention of organizers. This year the first SBC Summit took place in Rio de Janeiro, with the fair space occupied by more than 4 thousand people. It was such a success that SBC sought out Riocentro to host the next edition of the event, which will take place from February 25th to 27th, 2025.

Although the main focus of the SBC Summit North America is the North American market, the organizers reserved an important space for discussions about Brazil.

On May 9th, from 12 noon, the panel “Boom in Brazil: sports betting in the Americas' second biggest market” will take place, with the participation of Martin Lycka, SVP for regulatory affairs and responsible gaming at Entain, Santiago Mizraji , director of sales for sports betting services Brazil at Sportradar, Tom Waterhouse, CIO at Waterhouse VC, Amie Biros, VP of strategic initiatives at Rush Street Interactive, Jenny Lu, consultant at Pixiu Gaming, and Shlomi Haffner, industry manager at Google.

When inviting those interested in participating in the panel on Brazil at the SBC Summit North America, the organizers state: “After many false alarms, Brazil regulated sports betting across the country in an attempt to end the gray market. This panel examines the enormous potential of the continent’s biggest new market, where experts believe sports betting will generate up to US$1.1 billion by 2023.”

“How will local and international operators, as well as society as a whole, reap the benefits of this innovative legislation? What innovations in CX, marketing and technology can emerge from this new laboratory for the global gaming industry?”
