Financial transactions at Pay4Fun rise by up to 55% before the start of Brasileirão matches

An exclusive Pay4Fun survey focused on the 17th (July 26-27) and 18th (August 2-4) rounds of the Brazilian Championship shows that match times coincide with peak financial transactions on the platform. The analysis reveals a consistent pattern: transaction volume increases before games, decreases during matches, and partially recovers post-match. Just before kickoff, deposits almost double in just one hour.

Games involving major clubs such as Flamengo, Corinthians, Palmeiras, Santos, and São Paulo, transactions rose 55% in the pre-match period (one hour before the game). During matches, growth remained positive, between 25% and 30%.

For matches involving Sport and Bahia, the pre-game increase was more moderate at around 36%, while in-game transactions grew by 28%.

The study was based on thousands of transactions processed by Pay4Fun; however, it is not possible to link each transaction directly to a specific sporting event. Still, the data suggests that the timing and schedule of matches influence financial activity, indicating that sporting events directly affect user behavior on the platform.

The analysis also shows that weekends record the most intense peaks, with Sundays reaching the highest volumes. Post-match activity remains elevated, though still about 20% below the pre-game peak.

User behavior shows that football is a national passion and directly influences financial activity in the betting sector. These findings reinforce how the sports calendar connects with bettors and help us better understand how fans engage during championships,” said Leonardo Baptista, CEO and Co-founder of Pay4Fun.

Factors such as the tournament being played, the teams involved, match times, changing odds, and player participation all have a direct impact on financial transactions,” he added.
