Sportradar collaborates with CONMEBOL and AFA in integrity training

Sportradar participated this Wednesday (29) in another edition of the “Integrity Training” program, promoted by CONMEBOL in collaboration with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and supported by Betano. This initiative is part of a series of meetings held in different South American countries with the aim of strengthening the culture of integrity in sport and promoting the prevention of match-fixing in affiliated associations.

The event brought together leaders of Argentine football, sports authorities, representatives of clubs and federations, as well as referees, players, and coaches. Throughout the day, discussions focused on topics such as match-fixing, violence, discrimination, and the importance of education as a tool for prevention.

The meeting featured Claudio Tapia, president of the AFA (Argentine Football Association), who emphasized the organization’s commitment to transparency and ethics in football: “Match-fixing is a scourge that affects the entire world, not just football. The best way to combat it is through prevention and education, especially among young people. That is our greatest responsibility,” he stated.

As part of the event, Graciela Garay, Director of Ethics, Compliance, and Integrity at CONMEBOL; Jorge Ojeda, Head of Integrity at CONMEBOL; and Felippe Marchetti, Director of Integrity for Sportradar Latin America, shared their experiences and best practices in the fight against match-fixing.

“It is a pleasure for Sportradar to once again collaborate with CONMEBOL and its member associations—now alongside AFA—in promoting a culture of integrity throughout the region. These training sessions are essential to strengthening cooperation and commitment to an ethical and transparent sport,” said Felippe Marchetti.

The training session was broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of the Argentine Football Association, allowing players, referees, and coaches from across the country to participate remotely.
