GMB – What did Legitimuz present at SBC Summit Lisbon?
Kayky Janiszewski – Legitimuz has grown significantly in recent months in Brazil, thanks to the trust we’ve built with many operators. We currently hold 67% of the KYC market share among all federally regulated companies in the country. We came to SBC Lisbon to promote tropicalization. It’s an international fair with many European and American operators attending, most of whom already operate or plan to operate in Brazil.
Our concept of tropicalization is to show that, to stand out in the Brazilian market, it’s essential to have a tropical product — a solution developed locally that becomes a major competitive advantage.
In addition, it’s important to emphasize that this is a 100% Brazilian product!
Exactly — 100% Brazilian. An interesting aspect behind this idea is explaining why a tropical product has its own value. In Brazil, we have many particularities when it comes to personal documents. For example, regarding the Digital Driver’s License (CNH Digital), there are 80 million drivers in the country and 60 million of them have downloaded the digital version on their phones. Look at the proportion of those numbers — it doesn’t make sense not to support CNH Digital.
In Brazil, we also have a major advantage: the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). It allows, under strong legal and compliance frameworks, the reuse of verified identity documents between different clients. What does that mean? Imagine I verify my identity with Blaze — a Legitimuz client — and then go to 7 Games, another one of our clients. Once I’ve verified my ID and photo with Blaze, when I go to 7 Games, our system recognizes that the user has already been verified. All that’s needed is a selfie to confirm the match, and the verification is reused. This makes the process much faster and smoother, removing friction. These are the kinds of advantages only a local provider can offer.
Legitimuz displayed several Brazilian-themed visuals at its booth. Was the strategy to make it clear that “you are Brazilian”?
Exactly. I believe Brazilians have great potential to develop innovative local solutions. It’s a hardworking, creative people — and I truly believe those who should lead the Brazilian market are the Brazilians themselves.
How was the audience’s response to Legitimuz at the event? Were you sought after by companies looking to enter the Brazilian market?
We had great interest. In fact, these fairs are always excellent. Congratulations to the teams at SBC, BiS, SiGMA, and ICE. We’ve always been present at all these events — initially as visitors, but since last September, we haven’t missed a single one without having our own stand. For us, that’s extremely important, and it always leads to great business opportunities.

What are Legitimuz’s future plans amid this market growth?
To continue consolidating ourselves as a one-stop shop for iGaming, providing all the solutions operators need. We plan to keep growing and expanding into international markets — that’s part of our roadmap. And, of course, to keep innovating, exploring new countries and opportunities that are coming soon.
With such a robust regulatory framework in Brazil, do you see it as a calling card for Legitimuz’s international expansion?
Absolutely. I believe Brazil is one of the most regulated countries in the world — it has the most demanding requirements I’ve ever seen. For example, I don’t know any other jurisdiction that requires KYC at onboarding and facial recognition for every withdrawal. That shows how strict our regulations are. Because Legitimuz fully understands and complies with these regulations, we’re in a strong position to expand into other highly regulated sectors and markets.

You’re not only focused on “know your customer” — you’re also tackling fraud prevention and anti–money laundering. Does that make the Legitimuz product stronger?
Very much so. At Legitimuz, we’ve been working to provide more detailed information about users’ occupations and income — including estimated income, income by geographic location, and whether someone is a public servant, entrepreneur, freelancer, salaried worker, unemployed, or a Bolsa Família beneficiary. This information can be used for Responsible Gaming, risk scoring, AML, and VIP segmentation.
For example, if a user has a high estimated income and everything checks out, we can offer more promotions and tailor the experience for that player. Helping operators with this kind of insight adds a lot of value.
You’re going to hold an event about Legitimuz’s tools. Would you like to invite our readers to learn more about it?
This event isn’t just about our tools — it’s what we call ‘Legitimuz Day’, an event focused on anti–money laundering prevention. It will take place in October, and we’ll be inviting selected partners from the market. It’s a 100% AML and compliance-focused event, and it will include the presence of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA).
