SPA revoked Trisigma authorization as a certifying entity in Brazil

The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance has revoked the authorization for the Dutch company Trisigma to operate as an independent certifying entity in Brazil. The revocation came into effect on 30 September 2025 and cancels the previous ordinance that had authorized the firm to operate in the country. In any case, it does not affect certifications already issued by Trisigma, as they remain valid and continue to be technically supported by GLI.

The decision has been already published in the Official Gazette of the Union through Ordinance SPA/MF No. 2,684, signed by Secretary Regis Dudena.

The revocation came into effect on 30 September 2025 and cancels the previous ordinance (No. 1,775/2024), which had authorized Trisigma to operate as a certifier in the country.

Trisigma B.V. is a Dutch company specializing in testing, auditing and certifying gaming and betting systems, with global operations in the iGaming sector. Founded in 2010, the company is headquartered in the city of Ede, in the Netherlands, and is recognized for providing technical certification services for casinos, lotteries and sports betting platforms in various regulated markets across Europe, Latin America and Asia.

When, in November 2024, Trisigma was authorised, through Ordinance SPA/MF No. 1,775, to operate as a certifier for betting systems and platforms in Brazil, it became the fifth entity accredited in the national market to validate the technology of regulated betting operators in the country. Now, with the revocation, the company can no longer act as a certifier for new processes as of 30 September.

It is worth noting that the revocation does not affect certifications already issued by Trisigma, as they remain valid and continue to be technically supported by Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI), in accordance with Ordinance SPA/MF No. 504/2024.

For those already licensed or in the process of licensing in Brazil, some implications must be monitored:

- Certifications already issued by Trisigma remain valid. Thus, those who have already obtained a report may continue to use it.

- As of 30 September 2025, they will no longer be able to use Trisigma as a certifier, which means they will need to seek another entity recognised by the SPA-MF.
