The BSOP Championship will carry a guaranteed total prize pool of R$ 20 million (US$3.7m), with R$ 4 million (US$750,000) assured for the champion. The rest of the amount will be divided among the other top-placing players, usually around 15% of the total entrants.
Regardless of the number of participants, these amounts are already guaranteed by the organization. However, if the tournament exceeds the expected number of around 800 entrants, the prize pool will also increase, surpassing the R$ 20 million (US$3.7m) mark.
The title for the largest individual prize in Brazilian sport previously belonged to the Brazil Poker Championship. In the 2024 edition of the BSOP Millions – the biggest poker event in the Southern Hemisphere – Leandro Zavodini took home R$ 3.5 million (US$654,000) for finishing first in the tournament titled The Legends.

These multi-million-real figures outstrip other notable individual prizes such as the R$ 1 million (US$ 187,000) reserved for the winner of the “Corrida do Milhão” in Stock Car, and the R$ 350,000 (US$65,000) paid to Olympic individual sport champions at the Paris 2024 Games.
To compete for the multi-million-real prize at the BSOP Championship, a player must pay R$ 30,000 (US$5,600) in buy-in. All entrants who pay will receive the same number of chips and begin the competition for the prize. The tournament starts on 22 November and ends on 29 November, which also marks the closing of the event.
The BSOP Championship is one of the 104 tournaments of the BSOP Millions schedule, the final and largest stage of the 2025 season of the Brazilian Poker Championship. The organization expects that the total prize pool distributed over the 16-day event, held from 14 to 29 November at the WTC Sheraton in São Paulo, will exceed R$ 110 million (US$20.6m), which would also be a Brazilian record. The previous edition of the event distributed about R$ 96 million (US$17.9m).
Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) is the largest poker tournament series in Latin America, founded in 2006. Recognized globally as the Brazilian Poker Championship, BSOP promotes this mind sport and attracts players from all over the world. With multiple stages held in Brazil, it offers tournaments across all levels and is considered one of the major poker events worldwide, awarded at the Global Poker Awards — the recognized “Oscar” of the discipline — as the best circuit of the year.
