In addition to offering entertainment and generating prizes, Trem das 11 plays an important social role: 21% of its net revenue is allocated to social projects in the State of Minas Gerais, contributing to income generation, job creation, and support for areas such as public safety, health, and education.
With an innovative and disruptive format, Trem das 11 falls under the Passive Lottery category and was developed to increase players’ chances of winning. The game includes 22 numbers, of which 11 are drawn, distributed across 8 prize tiers among 12 possible outcomes.
Launched in October 2024, the product has already awarded a R$ 500,000 (US$94,000) prize to a single winner. The lucky player, a resident of Belo Horizonte, hit the jackpot in the “Completinha” mode during the Independence Draw, held on September 6. The winning ticket was purchased at the Via Shopping kiosk in Barreiro.
Trem das 11 joins the portfolio of lottery games from Mineira da Sorte Loterias, which is also celebrating the positive results of Raspadinha® in Minas Gerais. In operation for less than two years, the instant lottery has already rewarded nearly 1.5 million players across the twelve regions of the state, consolidating itself as one of the favorites among locals, with an approximate 25% chance of winning. In the first batch alone, an estimated R$ 132 million (US$25m) in prizes will be distributed, with tickets offering prizes up to R$ 250,000 (US$47,000).
Trem das 11 – Designed for everyone to win
With both in-person and WhatsApp sales, Trem das 11 was conceived to deliver value to both retailers and consumers. The product was born from an extensive market study conducted by the MSL Consortium, which identified gaps and opportunities through research with leading retailers and industry entrepreneurs.
Around 70% of respondents expressed interest in selling a lottery product with weekly draws and direct ticket issuance through terminals. Another key finding showed that 73.2% of participants preferred games with more prizes, affordable prices, and real chances of winning life-changing rewards.
Attentive to these preferences, the MSL Consortium also introduced special commemorative draws, featuring different prices and prizes — such as those for Mother’s Day and the Independence Draw, both of which saw great public participation.
With 100% Minas Gerais DNA, the name Trem das 11 plays on a typical local expression where “trem” (literally “train”) can mean almost anything — while also paying tribute to the iconic song by Adoniran Barbosa, immortalized in 1964.
For Roberto Souto, CEO of the MSL Group, Trem das 11 represents more than a game — it’s a driver of development.
“This is a lottery game that stimulates retail, protects consumers, and distributes a considerable share of prizes. We are present in every region of the state, energizing the market and contributing to social development with an innovative product that has already won the hearts of the people of Minas. We have much to celebrate and much to build going forward,” says Souto.
