Brazil’s betting market — which has been expanding rapidly since the regulation of sports betting and the proliferation of iGaming platforms — is about to face a new regulatory milestone: the effects of the country’s Tax Reform on the sector.
During the presentation, the specialists will provide an in-depth analysis of how the creation of the IBS (Tax on Goods and Services) and the CBS (Contribution on Goods and Services) will affect the taxation of digital platforms, operators, and intermediaries, as well as discuss the risks and opportunities for companies operating in sports betting, fantasy games, e-casinos, and other iGaming segments.
“The sector, which currently operates under complex ISS and PIS/Cofins regimes, will have to adapt to a unified and broader consumption tax model. This will demand new fiscal and compliance strategies,” explains Ricardo Hiroshi.

“With the advance of digital entertainment and the regulation of betting, understanding the new rules is essential to maintaining competitiveness and avoiding significant tax liabilities,” adds André Feher Jr.
The event is aimed at professionals and companies in the betting ecosystem — including operators, technology providers, investors, and legal consultants — who seek to understand the upcoming legal and economic transformations resulting from the reform.
