The discussion brought together Monara Shainny, CEO of PlayerCore; Válter Delfraro Jr., Director of Regulatory Affairs at Oddsgate; and Rodrigo Martinez, CRO at Lucky Gaming. The conversation was moderated by Ricardo Destaole, Head of Bets at iugu.
In the episode, the guests analyze the progress made in 2025, such as strengthened public trust, the professionalization of operations, and the consolidation of regulation, as well as the challenges that remain — including combating the illegal market and the need to expand sector education.
“The first year of a regulated market was a turning point. We built a safer ecosystem with more responsible and sustainable practices. Now, the challenge is to maintain the pace of professionalization and improve compliance, technology, and governance to support the industry’s growth,” says Ricardo Destaole, Head of Bets at iugu.
For Monara Shainny, the moment represents maturity and opportunity. “Regulation has separated those who are truly committed to operating correctly and efficiently. The companies that understood this are ready to grow in 2026 with more planning and differentiation,” she says.
Válter Delfraro Jr. highlighted the market’s gain in credibility and the importance of the new regulatory cycle. “Regulation brought confidence and predictability. Adjustments are natural, but the fact that Brazil has adopted one of the most rigorous structures in the world shows that we are on the right path,” he reinforced.
Rodrigo Martinez also emphasized the role of information and transparency in strengthening the sector. “Professionalization, talent retention, and combating misinformation are key factors for iGaming to continue growing with solidity and responsibility,” he said.
The episode closes the regular season of Resenha B2B – Special iGaming, which throughout 2025 explored topics such as regulation, female leadership, the job market, Responsible Gaming, and a sector overview. All episodes are available on iugu’s website and the company’s official YouTube channel.
