OKTO reinforces its Brazil and Latin America footprint with key new appointments

OKTO has strengthened its leadership presence across Brazil and Latin America with two strategic appointments. The company announced the arrival of Mayra Scarpelli Passos as Account Director for Brazil and LATAM, alongside the appointment of Bruno Gonçalves as LATAM Sales Director, solidifying OKTO’s regional capabilities and strategic focus.

With extensive experience in the payments sector, Mayra brings deep technical knowledge and a proven track record of supporting merchants in delivering frictionless, compliant, and high-performance payment journeys.

Operating from OKTO’s offices in Brazil, she is expected to play a pivotal role in supporting both existing and new partners in the region.

I’m truly honored and excited to take on this role at OKTO at such a pivotal moment for our region,” Mayra said. “I’m deeply grateful for the trust placed in me and thrilled to work alongside an exceptional team committed to innovation, compliance, and delivering world-class payment experiences.”

Her appointment signals OKTO’s continued investment in strengthening local support for merchants, ensuring they benefit from real-time payment capabilities, regulatory alignment, and robust operational efficiency.

Strengthening regional expansion through sales leadership

OKTO also confirmed that Bruno Gonçalves, a long-standing member of the team, has stepped into the role of LATAM Sales Director. In his expanded remit, Bruno will lead the company’s commercial development across Latin America, building new partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and reinforcing OKTO’s role as a trusted payments partner in the region.

His focus will include advancing OKTO’s solutions for faster onboarding, smarter payment automation, and resilient, real-time performance—capabilities increasingly demanded by merchants navigating Latin America’s fast-evolving digital payments landscape.

A clear signal of regional commitment

These appointments underscore OKTO’s strategic vision and strong commitment to Latin America, a region experiencing significant momentum as digital payments adoption accelerates.

By expanding its leadership structure in Brazil and across LATAM, OKTO is positioning itself to better serve merchants, enhance its operational footprint, and continue delivering secure, innovative, and high-performing payment technology.

As Latin America’s payments industry grows in scale and sophistication, OKTO’s strengthened regional team is set to play a central role in shaping the next chapter of seamless, compliant, and future-ready payment experiences.
