Career in the gaming sector
Before joining Playtech, Bárbara held senior positions in Brazil’s betting and technology market. She served as Legal & Compliance Director at Stake Brasil, Director of Government Relations at the Brazilian Fantasy Sports Association (ABFS), and Regulatory and Public Affairs lawyer at Rei do Pitaco.
A specialist in government relations, regulation, and compliance, Bárbara has built a solid career handling complex legal and regulatory cases in Brazil’s gaming industry. She is also an author of industry articles, a speaker at major events, and a frequent voice in debates and interviews about regulation and best practices in gaming.
Leadership and recognition
Teles is the founder and Director of the Women in Gaming Industry Association (AMIG) and serves as Secretary-General of the Gaming Law Committee of the Brazilian Bar Association – Federal District Section (OAB/DF).
Her work has been recognized internationally: she was listed by Leaders League in the Government Relations category (2018–2021) and named “Rising Star – The Most Voted by Peers” in 2021. In the same year, she was also recommended as a “Next Generation Partner” in Government Relations by The Legal 500.
