One-year cooperation deal

Lottopar and Paraná Football Federation renew partnership to promote sport integrity

Lottopar and the Paraná Football Federation (FPF) have renewed their strategic partnership with the signing of Cooperation Agreement No. 003/2025, continuing joint actions aimed at promoting sporting integrity, safe and responsible play. The agreement provides for the training of referees, the development of athletes, especially at the youth level, and the expansion of lectures in Paraná clubs on match-fixing.

The new Cooperation Agreement is valid for 12 months and reaffirms the commitment of both institutions to ethics and transparency in sports. The central objective of the agreement is to carry out educational actions, such as training, lectures, and awareness activities, aimed at FPF members, the Arbitration Commission, and the general public.

The partnership does not involve the transfer of financial resources between the parties.

The focus is on continuing to provide guidance on codes of conduct, prevention of match-fixing, and the risks associated with illegal practices in sports betting. The renewal comes at a time of intense educational activity by Lottopar, which has been conveying the message of integrity to various agents in Paraná's sports scene. Among the actions already developed through the cooperation are:

Referee Training: The FPF (São Paulo Football Federation) Referee School hosted a training cycle where Lottopar's operations director, Fabio Veiga, and technical director, Rafael Halila, emphasized the importance of referees in preserving the credibility of competitions. They reinforced, for example, that Brazilian legislation is clear in prohibiting referees and people directly linked to the sport from betting on competitions in which they participate.

Raising Awareness Among Youth: Lottopar also took its educational lecture on sports betting and integrity in sports to the youth categories of Clube Athletico Paranaense, Coritiba Football Club, Paraná Clube, and the professional squad of the latter. Led by Veiga and the chief of staff, Pablo Wosniacki, the action aimed to raise awareness among athletes about the regulatory landscape of sports betting in Brazil.

Wosniacki reinforced, on that occasion, the responsibility of athletes as public figures and agents of integrity, warning that "betting on their own competitions or manipulating results can constitute civil, administrative and even criminal offenses."

All clubs affiliated with the FPF can request lectures, either through the Federation itself or directly with Lottopar, via email at [email protected].
