Currently, more than 85 of the 5,570 Brazilian municipalities already operate lottery products, and more than 500 are in the legislative approval phase, forming one of the most dynamic regulatory environments in the country.
During the event, a recurring theme among the panelists was the finding that the real competition to the regulated federal, state, or municipal markets is not the seriously constituted municipal lotteries, but rather the illegal market, which continues to operate outside the rules and without any commitment to the player.
