The change, planned over the past several months, reflects the maturity of the operation in Brazil and the progress in its integration with the global Flutter Entertainment group. According to the company, the transition marks a natural evolution aligned with the accelerated growth of recent years and the context of the first post-regulation cycle of the sports betting sector in the country.
“It is the natural next step in the governance structure we have built since Flutter arrived in Brazil, strengthening our focus on continuity, strategy, and long-term vision,” says João Studart, who has led the operation since its foundation and will now deepen his institutional, strategic, and board-related responsibilities.
“Duda knows the operation in depth and has been essential in structuring our ecosystem. The transition reinforces our maturity and ensures that we continue to grow responsibly.”
Eduardo Monte, who joined the former NSX in 2023 and most recently served as COO, will be responsible for leading Flutter Brazil’s daily operations, strengthening culture, efficiency, and execution.
“I take on this role with enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility, at a decisive moment for the Brazilian digital entertainment market. We continue to prioritize expanding cultural relevance of the brands, always with best compliance practices to consolidate a safe, transparent, and sustainable operating environment. João remains a strategic leader, guiding key decisions and ensuring that we remain aligned with the Flutter group's vision”, said Eduardo.

A transition aligned with the maturity of the sector
In 2026, Brazil will enter its second year as a regulated market. The sector is therefore moving into a phase of increased operational, tax, and compliance demands. For this reason, Flutter Brazil is adopting a structure that reflects models already consolidated in other regulated markets where Flutter operates, such as Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, and Australia.
As Executive Chairman, João Studart will act as a strategic bridge between Brazil and the global ecosystem of the group, contributing to the development of responsibility policies, governance frameworks, and the integration of international best practices in the country. At the same time, he will play an important institutional role for Flutter Brazil in its relationship with key players in the national market.
“Brazil has entered a new chapter. Regulation requires maturity, operational discipline, and an absolute focus on responsibility. Our decision reflects this moment and prepares the company for the future. I will remain close to the team, but now with an even more strategic perspective, connecting Brazil to the group’s global centers of excellence,” João explains.
Eduardo Monte, widely known in the market as Duda, takes command of the Brazilian operation with the mission of accelerating innovation, strengthening the consumer experience, and consolidating the leadership position of Flutter Brazil’s brands — including Betnacional and Betfair — in the national market.

With solid experience in building large-scale digital products, Duda will lead all operational and strategic areas of the company in Brazil.
“Our commitment is clear: grow responsibly, invest in technology, and elevate the sector’s standards in the country. We have a strong brand, an exceptionally skilled team, and a culture based on integrity. Brazil is at a unique moment, and we will lead this transformation with discipline, innovation, and long-term focus,” affirmed the new CEO.
Flutter Brazil reiterates that responsibility is a strategic pillar of the operation, and a significant part of the new structure is dedicated to strengthening consumer protection mechanisms, improving responsible communication, and supporting efforts to tackle illegal operators.
Flutter Brazil
Flutter Brazil is one of the largest sports betting ecosystems in the country, resulting from the merger between NSX Brazil — the Brazilian company behind Betnacional — and Flutter Entertainment, the global industry leader and owner of Betfair.
Led by Brazilian executives to ensure a national identity for its brands and close alignment with the local market — a key factor for public and regulatory communication — the company combines cutting-edge technology with deep understanding of its audience, delivering a secure, transparent, and responsible entertainment experience.
Flutter Brazil reinforces its commitment to the healthy development of the sector through its strong partnership with the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming (IBJR).
