The amount will be used to reduce the down payment cost for individuals earning up to four minimum wages when purchasing properties eligible under Casa Fácil. The subsidy, set at R$ 20,000 (US$3,675) per family, is applied directly to financing contracts with Caixa Econômica Federal.
The program was created to enable the construction of new housing developments — from the smallest municipalities to the state capital — supporting both large and small projects, with priority assistance and subsidy allocation for lower-income households.
“These funds will be used to support Cohapar home financing and are expected to benefit 500 families,” said Lottopar president Daniel Romanowski.
Cohapar president Jorge Lange highlighted the importance of the partnership in expanding housing opportunities for residents. “The agreement signed today reinforces the commitment and efforts of the State Government to assist the families who need it most, making the dream of homeownership a reality and improving the quality of life of people in Paraná.”
Other requirements for receiving the benefit include: not owning a home; not having been assisted by other public housing programs; not having credit restrictions; having sufficient income to finance the desired property, with monthly payments not exceeding 30% of household income; and maintaining a valid registration with the agency, completed or updated within the last two years.
The transfer is part of one of Lottopar’s core principles: generating revenue that returns to society through strategic investments in vital areas such as Housing, Public Safety, and social initiatives.
In the area of Public Safety, for example, the agency maintains a partnership with the state’s Forensic Police, which also includes a R$ 10 million (US$1.85m) investment to create a modern Integrated Data Processing and Analysis Center (CIPAD) — a Forensic Laboratory for Combating Financial Crimes, currently under construction.
Those interested in participating in housing projects supported by Casa Fácil Paraná can register on the Cohapar website, where they can also check the eligibility requirements and the list of approved developments in municipalities across the state.
