Founded by six visionary women - Ana Bárbara Costa Teixeira, Ana Helena Pamplona, ??Bárbara Teles, Luciana Hendrich, Natalia Nogues and Teresa Caieiro - AMIG was created with the purpose of transforming the market and paving the way for more women in the sector.
AMIG has been driving female representation in the industry
Since then, AMIG has been promoting significant changes in female representation in the market, boosting talent and strengthening the presence of women in the sector.
After one year of existence, the entity already has more than 800 members and a dynamic group on WhatsApp, where almost 500 women, professionals in the sector exchange knowledge and support each other.
AMIG's growth was only possible thanks to the dedication of its members, active committees and companies that believe in the organization's purpose. Currently, the entity has the support of eight companies committed to equal opportunities and the appreciation of female talent in the industry.
AMIG at the biggest events in the Gaming sector
Throughout this first year, AMIG has been present at important international events, such as SBC Lisboa, BiS SiGMA, CGS Recife and ICE Barcelona. At each of these meetings, the warm reception and enthusiasm of the public reinforced the relevance of the initiative and the positive impact that the entity has been generating.
"Each event was a chance to demonstrate the positive impact of AMIG and strengthen the female presence in the gaming sector. Seeing the recognition and growing engagement only reinforces that we are on the right track. We remain motivated to expand our reach and open even more doors for women in the industry," says Natalia Nogues, one of the founders of the project.
At the events, AMIG's happy hour is already a tradition, a moment of relaxation that at the same time brings together important names in the industry from around the world, expands the boundaries of the project and promotes recognition of the importance of the association in the gaming sector.
In addition, AMIG held 7 highly successful workshops in its first year, promoting enriching debates among its members and special guests. These meetings, which broke audience records, highlighted the strength of the community and the importance of knowledge exchange for advancing gender equality in the sector.
This is just the beginning of the project's promising journey
And the future promises even more! For 2025, AMIG is already preparing new workshops, mentoring programs, immersions and innovative projects that will be announced throughout the year. The entity remains firm in its purpose of building a more inclusive market, where women increasingly occupy more space and have their voices amplified.
