“Aristocrat’s growth plans in Brazil include both land-based and online operations”

In an exclusive interview with GMB, Thomas Castleberry, VP Commercial at Aristocrat, highlighted the innovations presented at ICE Barcelona, such as solutions that process more than 80 million daily transactions and the delivery of 1,600 terminals for retail. The executive also spoke about growth plans in Brazil and LatAm, encompassing land-based and online operations, with a focus on technological trends.

GMB - How are you doing here in Barcelona at this new venue?
Thomas Castleberry -
I'm doing great. This is actually the first time we're presenting our international presence by showcasing both Aristocrat Gaming and Aristocrat Interactive together.

We're combining our land-based operations with our online operations at one show here in Europe. It's a fantastic and exciting time to present our entire suite of solutions.

What news are you bringing to present here this year?
First and foremost, we're excited to showcase our interactive solutions. We have new games and new cabinets, but we're also putting a strong focus on our online offerings. For example, we now have a solution that's processing more than 80 million transactions a day.

Additionally, our new sports solution features a retail sports offering that includes self-service betting terminals, cashier retail stations, and online sports odds boards. We are currently delivering more than 1600 terminals to retail locations, which makes it very exciting for us to launch these new sports features.

What are Aristocratic plans for Brazil and Latin America this year?
Brazil is an exciting new market that's opening up. We've already started the process to enter that market with our first customer, and we're very excited to expand there with new operators. Our plans include not only growing our land-based operations but also our online operations.

What about the upcoming shows in Brazil, BiS SiGMA Americas in São Paulo and SBC Rio in February? Will you be attending?
Absolutely. We have a strong presence in Latin and South America, and we continue to deliver our solutions to operators across the region. We'll be present at both the LatAm event and the South America show.

What technological trends are you seeing in your sector right now?
There's a lot of exciting technological transformation underway. Artificial intelligence is at the forefront for us. We're using AI for risk management and customer service, which helps reduce call volume and enhances the customer experience.

Considering we're processing as many transactions as we are—about 1.2 million transactions—it’s an exciting technology stack that truly makes a difference.

And about Brazil, will you be implementing the same technology stack?
Yes, indeed. We'll be using the same advanced technology stack in Brazil as we do in Europe and America. This means that all our exciting new technologies will also be available in South America.
