GMB - What is your analysis of the Latin American market that is being regulated, such as in Brazil, Peru and Chile?
Camilo Millón - For us, it seems ideal and fair that the online betting and gaming market in Latin America and the world be regulated. A regulated market means legality, enabling operations and generating benefits for the country, such as tax collection and new entertainment opportunities for the population.
The most important thing is that Kambi, with its DNA as an exclusive operator for regulated markets, is very pleased that Brazil is a pioneer in this new regulation, opening the market to global and local operators, which can generate great success.
The regulation came into effect on January 1st. Did everything go well with Kambi's partner operators and did their platforms continue to operate properly?
Yes. At Kambi, we have a very professional compliance team that has always been ahead of the curve, following the regulators' lead. This allowed us, in a short time, to have three to five clients, such as KTO, Stake, Rei do Pitaco, BetMGM and BetWarrior, who are already with us, generating results and entertainment for the Brazilian people.
How do you assess the current situation of these two months of regulation in Brazil?
It is going well. It is a process that generates stress and changes. Operators are practically restarting their operations from scratch. It is a mandatory process, which is traumatic, but it will lead us to a correct market and a healthy operation. This current stress is natural in this type of transition.
And how does Kambi position itself in the market? What are the company's differentials to attract new customers?
It is known that Kambi does not seek quantity, but rather quality. We are characterized by this. We are a company focused on the product, on offering exceptional service and on helping our local partners grow and become market leaders.
This has led us to serve almost 50 customers worldwide, with more than 100 dedicated employees. We want to expand in Latin America with the same modular concept, offering strong support and the best product on the market. This is the secret to Kambi's success.
What are Kambi's plans for the coming months in the Brazilian market?
The most important thing is to continue supporting our existing customers, allowing them to grow, establish themselves and achieve balance and growth. Then, we will look for other partners who can join us on this journey, always focusing on quality, to position ourselves among the best operators in the country.
