Last Friday (11), the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) suspended the provisional authorizations granted to four companies to operate iGaming in Brazil. Pixbet Soluções Tecnológicas (Pixbet, Flabet and Bet da Sorte), Caixa Loterias (Betcaixa, Megabet and Xbet Caixa), TQJ-Par (Baú Bingo, Tele Sena Bet and Bet Do Milhão) and 7MBR LTDA (Cbet) were affected. They did not present the technical documentation and certificates required by the SPA.
Caixa Loterias, affected by the SPA's decision, would be prevented from operating the Betcaixa, Megabet and Xbet Caixa brands. In light of this, the state bank released a statement informing that the measure does not impact the planning for the start of operations.

“CAIXA informs that it has been structuring itself to operate fixed-odds betting since the beginning of the regulation by the Ministry of Finance. CAIXA Loterias requested authorization from the Ministry for commercial exploration of the modality and received provisional authorization on December 30, 2024, through Ordinance SPA/MF 2,104/2024.
The bank clarifies that the provisional authorization was established with deadlines for compliance with all regulatory requirements for granting definitive authorization, including the period that includes the suspension subject to Ordinance SPA/MF 787/2025.
CAIXA also clarifies that, since it has not started its fixed-odds betting operation, the 90-day suspension has no impact on the planning for the start of the operation, nor on the other businesses of CAIXA Loterias."
