Historic milestone in its trajectory

MC Games reduces fraud and ensures record revenue with strategic support from Legitimuz

MC Games, a giant in the online gaming sector, celebrates a historic milestone in its trajectory: the drastic reduction of fraud and the achievement of record revenue. This was possible thanks to a strategic partnership with Legitimuz, a leader in KYC for the iGaming sector in Brazil. The user validation platform provides insights into the improvements implemented by MC Games.

This result is the outcome of implementing an integrated KYC and compliance system, which optimizes the identity verification process and ensures user security, in accordance with the requirements of Law No. 14.790/2023 and the regulations of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA/MF).

Challenges and solutions

Like the entire online gaming market, MC Games faced the challenge of adapting to new federal regulations requiring stricter identity verification processes for users.

In this context, the platform found the ideal solution in an integrated system that performs automatic checks to not only verify bettor identities but also ensure full compliance across the platform. This system covers:

* CPF validation, including checks on Federal Revenue status, death records, full name, date of birth, and mother's name.

* AML-CFT screening (Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism), through searches in national and international watchlists and negative media monitoring.

* Checks for ties to betting companies and the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting.

* Checks for ties to sports, covering multiple disciplines.

Additionally, the system ensures full compliance with the LGPD (General Data Protection Law), protecting user privacy and data security throughout all steps of the process.

Results that highlight MC in the Industry

MC Games has achieved impressive results, driven by the new capabilities of its verification system. The approval rate for new users reached 99.13%, reflecting the system’s efficiency in processing registrations with high precision. Moreover, the total number of verifications surpassed 1 million in the last month alone.

These results stem from multiple factors, such as:

* High conversion rate: The system ensures a KYC conversion rate above 80%, supporting a steady flow of new depositors with efficient verification. For every 80% who complete the process, 99% are approved.

* Real-time verification: Checks are carried out automatically and instantly, with a processing time of less than 30 seconds, eliminating delays and ensuring a smooth process.

* High performance on older phones: The system is optimized for low-performance devices, ensuring a fast and frictionless experience even on simpler smartphones.

* Acceptance of various digital documents: The system supports all types of digital documents, making the verification process accessible and streamlined for all users.

Furthermore, MC’s verification process is now more practical and efficient, thanks to document reuse capabilities. Specifically, 8 out of 10 bettors already have their documents on file, needing only to upload a selfie to complete KYC.

This is because, once a user registers on a partner platform, they do not need to resubmit documents when registering on another.

Augusto César de Brito, COO of MC Games, states: “The transition to the new identity verification system was a challenge, but we exceeded expectations. The platform provided us with security, agility, and credibility—key elements for our growth.”

He also emphasized: “Legitimuz gave us full support. It was a platform that enabled facial recognition, aligned with government rules, to be done in a simple way [...].”

Growth and the future

With reduced fraud and increased security, MC Games is solidifying its position as one of Brazil’s leading online gaming companies.

According to Brito, the company plans to continue investing in technology and innovation to deliver the best possible experience to its users, aiming to rank among the top 10 platforms in the country by 2025.
