Altenar achieves ISO 27001:2022 full recertification

Altenar is proud to announce that the company has successfully achieved full recertification under the latest ISO 27001:2022 standard, validating not only its existing security measures but also highlighting its commitment to continuous improvement and adaptation of an ever-changing threat landscape. As part of this certification, the scope now includes new regions in South America and South Africa, along with the newly established entity, Agreegain Limited.

By successfully achieving recertification under the ISO 27001:2022 framework, Altenar provides its clients and stakeholders with the assurance that their information is managed with the best level of security and in accordance with globally recognised best practices.

As part of this certification, the company is excited to share that the scope now includes new regions in South America and South Africa, along with the newly established entity, Agreegain Limited.

ISO 27001 is the globally recognised standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), providing organisations with a structured framework to manage risks, safeguard sensitive information, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The 2022 revision of the ISO 27001 standard brought forth important updates designed to ensure that security practices remain robust and aligned with the complexities of the modern digital world. These updates place a greater emphasis on a comprehensive and adaptive approach to risk management, requiring organisations to continuously assess and mitigate potential threats.

Furthermore, the revised standard incorporates new and enhanced controls addressing emerging areas of concern, such as threat intelligence to proactively identify and respond to potential attacks, the implementation of data masking and data leakage prevention techniques to protect sensitive information, and the deployment of web filtering technologies to enhance security and prevent unauthorised access.

The certification process involves a rigorous independent audit of our policies, processes, and controls to ensure full compliance.

Denise Vella, Director of Information Security at Altenar, commented on the achievement: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved and maintained this recertification, now for four years running. Security is built into everything we do, thanks to the ongoing efforts of our dedicated and continuously growing security team.

Our users are also highly aware of security, and we’ve fostered a strong security culture across the company. At Altenar, protecting our customers’ data is part of our daily work, and this certification reinforces our commitment to security, compliance, and trust.

This achievement goes hand in hand with our various regulatory gaming licences and certifications, ensuring alignment with the technical standards of the jurisdictions in which we operate.

Moving forward, we will continue to invest in our security practices, ensuring that we stay ahead of evolving threats while delivering secure and reliable services to our clients. For more information about our services, book a demo,” states the company.
