
Loterj is investing R$14 million (US$2.5m) in the project, reaffirming the agency's commitment to the development of sports throughout the state. The sponsorship also includes naming rights for the championship, which will be renamed “Campeonato Estadual LOTERJ – Série A2”.
“Loterj’s mission is to invest in initiatives that generate a positive social impact. By supporting the Rio de Janeiro State Championship Series A2, including youth teams and women’s soccer, we are encouraging sports, revealing talents and promoting opportunities throughout the state,” says Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, president of the agency.
“This is an investment that reflects the spirit of the Cláudio Castro Government and Loterj: social inclusion, development and commitment to Rio de Janeiro,” he emphasizes.
The following teams are participating in the championship: Cabofriense, América, Americano, Araruama, Bangu, Duque de Caxias, Audax Rio, Olaria, Petrópolis Gonçalense, Resende, São Gonçalo and Pérolas Negras.
The expectation is for a highly competitive and highly visible competition, now boosted by the support of Loterj.
With this initiative, Loterj helps to strengthen Rio de Janeiro football, promoting opportunities for young athletes, women in sports and greater competitiveness in the state.
