The decision to host the event in the Mexican capital marks a bold new chapter in SiGMA’s international expansion, positioning the country as a rising hub in the global gaming and tech ecosystem. The move also reflects a strategic bet on one of the most promising regions in the Americas.
Why Mexico?
According to SiGMA, two key elements made Mexico the ideal location: opportunity and timing. While the United States already boasts a mature and established conference circuit, Mexico has long flown under the radar — despite its sizeable population of over 120 million people, a thriving entrepreneurial culture, and fast-growing iGaming market.
Projections show that the Mexican online gambling market is expected to more than double by 2030, rising from USD 1.75 billion in 2023 to USD 3.53 billion. The online casino segment is also showing impressive momentum. Market data portal Horizon Databook forecasts a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 14.3% between 2025 and 2030, with the sector reaching USD 287.8 million by the end of the decade.
The land-based casino industry remains strong as well, with over 650 establishments operating nationwide. Mexico City leads the way with 96 venues, followed closely by Baja California and Tamaulipas.
A Strategic move with global reach
The conference promises the full SiGMA experience: high-level networking, premium content, an elite expo floor, and top-tier entertainment — all hosted in one of the most vibrant cities in the Americas.
The timing of the event has been strategically planned to complement SiGMA South America, held six months earlier, giving exhibitors and attendees the opportunity to maximize their presence across both markets.
Mexico City also offers excellent international connectivity. The city is served by two major airports: the Mexico City International Airport, which handles over 30 million passengers annually and provides direct flights to major cities in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Europe, and Asia; and the newer Felipe Ángeles International Airport, which supports regional routes from Bogotá, Monterrey, and Panama City.
The SiGMA Group is a globally recognized events and media platform serving the iGaming, emerging technology, and digital marketing industries. With a strong presence across Europe, Asia, Africa, the MENA region, and the Americas, SiGMA connects people and innovation on a global scale.
