Pixbet moves headquarters to Serra Branca and promises to boost local economy

Pixbet, one of the largest betting platforms in Brazil, originally from Rio de Janeiro, has officially moved its headquarters to Serra Branca, in Paraíba, the hometown of its owner Ernildo Júnior. With this change, the city in Paraíba will start collecting the Tax on Services (ISSQN) from the company, boosting the local economy.

The initiative also aims to encourage other companies to adopt the same strategy in different cities in the state.

Meanwhile, in Pernambuco, the mayor of Recife, João Campos (PSB), approved a project that reduces the ISSQN rate for companies linked to the sports betting, lottery and gambling sectors.

The measure, already sanctioned by the City Council, was justified by the mayor based on the potential for revenue collection and economic development that the segment can bring to the capital of Pernambuco.

This movement highlights a regional competition to attract and strengthen the sports betting sector in the Northeast, attracting large companies through the collection of local taxes (ISSQN) and economic incentives.

While Pernambuco is betting on tax incentives, Paraíba is strengthening its position by hosting the headquarters of one of the largest platforms in the country, seeking to boost the local economy through tax collection and the encouragement of new investments.
