Federal deputy Doctor Luizinho chairs the Joint Parliamentary Front for Responsible Gaming and Isnaldo Bulhões is the leader of the party in the Chamber of Deputies.
During lunch, representatives of the regulated betting market presented the main challenges faced by the sector and highlighted the competition it has been facing from thousands of illegal websites operating in the country.
Updated data on tax revenue generated by betting houses authorized by the federal government and on the jobs being created by the gaming industry were also presented.
“ANJL recognizes the important initiatives being developed in Brasília, such as the creation of the Joint Parliamentary Front for Responsible Gaming, which will contribute to strengthening the gaming and lottery sector in Brazil in a transparent and secure manner, both for companies and bettors,” said Plínio Lemos Jorge.
“Presenting our reality to the deputies is a way of contributing to the debate on a segment that collects taxes, generates revenue for governments and creates thousands of jobs. Our goal is to boost the country's economy and significantly help expand public policies, through the revenue collected from betting houses,” he highlighted.
